Am gonna be posting parts of a novel i promised myself am gonna write on this space, so please if you read through just post your comments.
THE FILE
Samuel works at the public library he has been here for a long time working as a Filer or thereabouts but his major job is filing for all state issues that are brought after being attended to by the bureacracy.Sam is also part of the bureacracy but he hates it and all it stands for, so every day as he resumes for his duty of filing he rains venom on the bureacracy for being there and for not clipping a sheet of paper to the File properly or not labelling the file by the standard set by the public Library.
The public library is located on the top floor of a former warehouse converted to a one storey building after it was donated to the City council by one of its founding fathers; the Great Sir Solomon Peter, he was a very influential and rich politician who plundered the state money when he was the Head of the city council then on his death donated the building amongst others to the city council for use. It was finally converted to the city library after being left abandoned for about 2 years , this became necessary as the initial city library became too small for the amount of paperwork being churned out by the bureacracy. The present head of the city council, John whistler had stated in his speech on the day he commissioned the new buiding that it took the city council a long time to decide on a befitting institution to take over the building; everyone knew he was lying as the city council was already looking for buyers of the property before it was forced too renovate it due to the need to relocate the city library.
